Carnival is coming… and our five-year-olds couldn’t be more excited!
This week we learned all about Mardi Gras. We
looked at colourful photos and short videos of the festival, and we also
listened to a fun song: “Dancing at the
Mardi Gras” (The Kiboomers Preschool
Songs & Nursery Rhymes for Circle Time). The children loved moving and
dancing along while learning about the celebration.
Then it was time to get creative! The children
painted their very own Mardi Gras masks, using lots of bright colours and a
little bit of glitter. There were big smiles, messy hands and lots of fun –
just like a real carnival! 
Mardi Gras is all about music, dancing and joy,
and our classroom became a little festival of its own. Well done, everyone –
your masks are fabulous!
