A GREAT VISITOR: ANDRÉS COELLO

Last 12th. and 19th.December 2018 our school had the big privilege of having the great  painter, sculptor and ceramist ANDRÉS COELLO.

Do you know who is he? What did he do in our school? or What famous achivements has he obtained? If so, click on Read More.

Andrés Coello was born in Valladolid the 8th. of  November 1935. He started his laboral life colaborating with architects and decorators but we was soon amazed with the idea of creating popular ceramics. In 1973 he founded "Tierras de Valladolid", the first school workshop in our city.

In 2001 he constituted the "Fundación Andrés Coello" that promotes and preserves the artistic heritage from 40 years of uninterrupted activity that is exhibited all around the world.

Andrés visited our school to do a Ceramics Wokshop using very simple tools and clay. He was explaining our students the way of creating  simple sculptures. Moreover, he also narrated some daily aspects he has exdperienced to raise awareness of students about  the importance of getting their dreams.

The students listened very carefully and looked atonished the final result: Two fantastic sculptures that he gave to the school as a present. From El Villar we want to thank you for sharing your wide knowledges and your presence in our school.
