WE CELEBRATE PEACE DAY

Schools celebrate the International

Day of Peace on January 30th.

Open this post and find out more

 about it.

Many nations celebrate the World Peace Day on September 21st each year. Schools celebrate it the 30th of January.
To inaugurate the World Peace Day, they ring the "Peace Bell". The bell is made from coins donated by children from all the continents. It reminds us of how terrible war is.

A WHITE DOVE with an olive branch in its beak is a symbol of peace. The spanish painter Picasso painted these:

The circle at the beginning of this post also represents peace.

PEACE SONG

There are many songs that sing of peace.
A very famous one is "IMAGINE", by John Lennon. The children in 6th grade sang it this year at the Christmas school festival. It was beautiful, THANK YOU.
You can read the words and listen to the song here:

This Story is about elephants that fight because they are different. Do you think people do that too? How can we stop it?

Publish at Calaméo or browse others.

You can also watch this video. It talks about not understanding differences. Is the old lady right? Are the rats right? What can we learn from the story?
