    Dear Mercedes:

My name is Marc Bratt and I came across an image of Robin Hood on your website

I am doing a presentation on Distance Learning at a conference this summer.

I would like to use this image, with your permission, on a PowerPoint slide for my presentation.

I will earn no profit from the use of the picture. The picture will be used only once during the presentation.

May I have your permission to use the image?
    My email is oldboymarc@gmail.com.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

    Most sincerely,
    marc

    1. Hello, Marc.
I'm afraid I cannot help you very much, this image is not mine, it's from the well known video game "Robin Hood: The legend of Sherwood" developed by Spellbound Studios in 2002 and published by Wanadoo.
How did you come across this blog? It's a school blog, it's only purpose is educational, and it's a strange coincidence that you are doing a presentation on Distance Learning.

      Sicerely,
      Mercedes

  26. Carlos. 2nd Infantil kid's father19 November 2015 at 01:08

    Hello,

Firstly, I want to thank you for this blog, I think it is a good way to encourage students to use English in a daily basis.

On the other hand, I'd like to suggest you to add a new section to the bilingual section in the School Webpage.

I'm a 4 year old kid's father, and the other day I realized he was singing or trying to sing a song like "Cookie monster...". When I asked him where he learned it, he told me "I learned it in English class. My teacher taught us".

I suppose that you, English teachers, are using a lot of videos and songs in your English classes to help children to love English. I think It would be a good idea to upload some of this materials (youtube links) in a new section of the bilingual section. It could be organized by courses. (At least for Infantil courses)
I know, it will take you some time to do it, but I think it would be worth it for children and us (parents). We could have fun singing and watching some of this videos.

    Thanks in advance.
    Carlos

    1. Hello, Carlos, and thank you so much for your comment!

About your suggestion, it IS a very good idea. I'm sure the Infantil teachers will find it interesting also, and I hope we will be able to have it ready in a short time.

Meanwhile, you can have a look at the "Useful links" section, at the bottom of the blog. Most of the links are for Primary students, but I would like to recommend you the three following for smaller kids:
"Boowa and Koala", a webpage with lots of stories, videos, colouring pages... for the very young.
"Oxford e-books", an e-library with books for all ages.
"Starfall", a webpage focussed on reading through phonics, with videos, stories...

I hope you and your child will enjoy them, and thank you again for your interest and your contribution!
