GUESS WHAT!

 Hi there!

We're happy to tell you that we are really good at predicting 😁 These last weeks, our sixth-graders have learnt the use of the future simple with will in its affirmative, interrogative and negative forms but, what you might not remember is that they can also predict with another verb tense, which is...

THE USE OF "BE GOING TO"!!!

Have a look at our post on November 25th if you can't remember... 😸

Dear fifth-graders... You are going to learn about this verb tense very soon! So, here is a brief reminder of its use. It is really easy, but you need to be used to the verb "TO BE" in order to succeed. Remember you can use it for predictions or for plans/intentions in a near future. Let's see how it is built:

You might be thinking that you are better than them. Can you show it? Let's do a contest!

WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT?

What will happen next? That's a question all our students ask in 6th Year. They want to know about the future all the time. So, we've decided to give them the opportunity to become FORTUNE TELLERS!! 🧙🔮

For that reason, we've explained the FUTURE SIMPLE form in class. Just for you all to remember, we'll leave the theory of its grammatical use:

Last Wednesday 11th. April 2024, we had the visit of seven teachers from Jurgis Dobkevičius Progymnasium from Kaunas (Lithuania) to the CEIP. Nuestra Señora del Villar.
It is always a pleasure to have visitors in our school especially if they want to learn about our educational system and the way we organize bilingual areas.

Thanks to CFIE de Idiomas de Valladolid (Centro de Formación del Profesorado e Innovación Educativa), students from our school could have the chance to explain and demonstrate their communicative competence in a foreign language even though when none of the adults or children speak both Lithuanian and Spanish languages. Therefore, English was the only option to be understood.

First, we walked around the school as we were exchanging experiences according to what we were observing: The Green Corner, students in their green vests as a distinction of belonging to the "Patrullas Verdes Project", the Prehistoric Age Project for infant Education and so many other spaces, murals, photos, etc. that show the excellent programs and plans of our school.

Children from 5th. Primary A performed, danced and played some instruments during the music lesson organized by teacher Cristina. They were so lovely!!! But apart from this artistic activity they commented some interesting aspects about The Bilingual Program in the school managing so good in their English Language!!

We really want to thank these teachers the different presents they gave us that are symbols of their culture and culinary traditions, hoping they had a positive experience and got many ideas as well as new educative suggestions for their daily pedagogic tasks.
