WHAT DO YOU MEAN?

Do you know what is an IDIOM? An idiom  is a commonly used expression whose meaning does not relate to the literal meaning of its words. We usually use these expressions when we speak in our own languages for example: " Tienes memoria de pez", " Eres un gallina" or "Eres más listo que un conejo". English speakers also have their own idioms for example: "It's raining cats and dogs" or "It's a piece of cake" Do you know the meaning of these idioms?

SINGING WHILE LEARNING

Along this week third graders are learning about
"How many...are there?"

In this special situation we are developing not only the Linguistic Compentence but also other different ones, such as the Mathematical Competence, Learning to learn Competence, Digital Competence, etc because we keep learning despite adversities through new methodologies and resources.

In this case, it's also time to review vocabulary about animals.

TALKING ABOUT PAST

Although these strange circunstances, 5th graders haven't stop learning these weeks. We have learned how create past simple verb forms of regular verbs  and also how express negative and interrogative sentences talking about past.

From the 28th. of March, CyL channel in cooperation with the Conserjería de Educación de Castilla y León will offer some TV programmes during this week, until Easter holidays for children in Primary Education.

El lunes, 30 de marzo, comienzan unas emisiones que durarán 45 minutos y se emitirán a las 16:15 horas en La 7, y a las 18:00 horas en La 8 de Castilla y León

Durante esta primera semana, y hasta las vacaciones de Semana Santa, los

destinatarios serán alumnos de Primaria, desde seis hasta doce años.

La Junta de Castilla y León y CyLTV han puesto en marcha la iniciativa “Aprendiendo en casa: la hora educativa de CyLTV”, una iniciativa que busca poner a disposición de los alumnos de Castilla y León una herramienta más para continuar con su aprendizaje,

ahora también a través de la pantalla de televisión.

Así, la televisión autonómica emitirá de lunes a viernes 45 minutos diarios de contenidos curriculares, distribuyendo las asignaturas por días. El proyecto arranca con una programación destinada a alumnos de Primaria, desde seis hasta doce años, y se

interrumpirá con la llegada de las vacaciones de Semana Santa.

No obstante y por si el estado de alarma se mantuviera en todo el territorio español tras

el periodo vacacional, la Consejería de Educación y Castilla y León Televisión ya están trabajando conjuntamente en la elaboración de nuevos contenidos, también para

Secundaria.

En estos momentos, ya están listos para su difusión más de 900 minutos de las materias básicas de Primaria, elaborados por la editorial Smile & Learn. Asimismo, las editoriales Pearson Education, Oxford University Press, Cambridge English, y MacMilland Education están recopilando nuevos materiales para poder ampliar

contenidos de emisión.

Por otra parte, desde la red de formación del profesorado (CFIE) se ha buscado profesorado con alta competencia digital que pueda grabar vídeos sobre contenidos curriculares de las distintas materias. Por esta vía ya han llegado más de 1.000 minutos

de contenidos curriculares. Material que en estos momentos está filtrando CyLTV para

garantizar la calidad de imagen necesaria.
